Supermicro PDSGE Socket 775 Motherboard Review


Overview:
The Supermicro PDSGE is a Socket 775 ATX motherboard supporting the Pentium 4 D and EE CPU's as well as the Celeron D chips. It includes 4 DDR 2 667 dual channel memory slots. It has 6-channel onboard audio, gigabit ethernet, one PCI Express x16 slot, three PCI slots, one PCI Express x1 slot, and two 133MHz PCI-X slots.

Supermicro, traditionally a server and workstation company, carry their normal practices to the desktop:

Supermicro engineers who have already got used to putting reliability and functionality of their products ahead of the exterior design stuck to their principles this time, too. However, the absence of some original decorative elements doesn’t make the product any worse. Let’s take a closer look at this mainboard and find out if it features smart PCB layout and offers good ergonomics.
